Happy National Dog Day!

Hiff everyone!

I just wanted to post a short greeting to wish all my furry friends, and their moms and dads a Happy National Dog day! I hope all my friends get some extra recognition today. Like chicken nuggets. Or like I did, some healthy exotic fruits. Mom knows I love mango and papaya, and that’s what I got for my midday snack.

Life’s been treating me okay lately. Not great. Just okay. And I tell you why. You know, I have this Addison’s disease. And it requires a medicine that – while keeping me up and running for over three years now – gives me these small skin masses. They are not sticking out of my curly coat or anything like that, but they need to be removed every year when I go under to get my teeth cleaned. I had fifteen of them of them this year. Fifteen! Not too much fun.

And you should’ve seen how I looked. Fifteen shaved patches of skin with black stitches. Luckily I only met my guy friends in the first weeks after the surgery at the end of June. They thought I looked cool. I was the tough guy. Then my groomer cut my hair so short I was almost freezing in the Florida summer. And I looked more pinkish than brownish. He said it’d grow back evenly. And I’m happy to say he was right. I’m almost there now. Starting to feel myself again 🙂

Book Cover 1-100I have to run soon. It’s dinner time. I smell chicken! But I want to remind everyone that my book “Confessions of a Rescue Dog” makes a great gift and is available on Amazon everywhere. I’m happy to say it’s found its way to some school libraries this fall. And even happier to tell you that Mom has given every cent Amazon sends her to my homeless friends at the Humane Society shelter. And she will continue to do so every six months. I trust her.

I hope life’s treating you well. I wish you a great fall season without stitches. Remember to celebrate today! Love ❤ Bumble

Happy Christmas to You All!

Hi there! It’s been a while, but it’s nice to see you again. I’m fine, but still recovering from my birthday celebrations on Monday. I’m 14 now – and people still call me a puppy! A cute puppy to be exact. I’ve asked mom not to reveal my real age. Why? Because I might start feeling old. And I can’t risk that.

Anyway, my birthday was great. I got yummy treats! Mango and papaya! I’m a fruit lover now, and that shows. I have much more energy than I used to when I was younger. I run when I take mom out, and I run when we come home. No tired jogging here. I think mom starts looking healthier too.

But I have a more serious message too. Thanks to my book, mom and I have been able to give quite a bit to the homeless doggies, cats, turtles, birds, hamsters and other animals in the shelter. Latest on Tuesday this week. Mom says she’s still in “red” on my book because we’ve given everything that has trickled in to my homeless friends. But I think that’s a good thing. It’s Christmas time and red is in fashion, right? And the homeless animals still need so much more. Why? Because they can’t go to work until they’ve been adopted! It’s simple as that.

You know what else is good about Christmas? It’s the time of giving! And my book is a great stocking stuffer. People of any age, particularly those who let their dogs or cats sleep on the bed, will love it. Mom told me that’s what the editorial review said. And kids who can read love it too. They’ve told me!

You’ll find my story (soft cover or Kindle) and customer reviews right here. Thanks for providing two gifts in one click! One for the stocking of someone you love,  and the other for the stocking at the Humane Society’s shelter. Because you love these animals too. I know.

Have a wonderful Christmas. Love,

Bumble
